High pressure storage system designed for growing number of hydrogen refuelling stations.
Sheffield, UK – CHESTERFIELD SPECIAL CYLINDERS (CSC) has developed a high pressure gas storage system designed for use in the growing number of hydrogen refuelling stations currently under construction across Europe. The hydrogen sector is predicted to undergo a major expansion globally in the coming decades and CSC is well-placed to become a key supplier to the worldwide market.
The new system is designed to work in tandem with the electrolysers which produce the hydrogen on-site, initially for the refuelling of buses but with other forms of transport to follow.
CSC sales director, Lee Lawrence, comments: “The global renewables sector is growing quickly and it is looking for safe, robust, cost-effective and long-term storage solutions. CSC has over 100 years of designing and manufacturing specialist systems and the growth in demand for hydrogen refuelling stations means CSC is best-placed to meet those requirements.
“Our new designs meet all the safety, cost and capacity needs the hydrogen sector is seeking and we are already in talks with various key players across Europe. We also have ambitions to work in other territories.”
