The first stage will be a £1 million-plus investment in a machining centre, shot-blasting facilities and a UT scanner for its Sheffield manufacturing site.
Much of this – and future planned investments – follow the securing of key contracts with various NATO navies globally. Further orders from the hydrogen sector have also stimulated the investment.
CSC managing director Mick Pinder explains: “This is an exciting time for CSC. Our reputation for delivering specialist systems to navies around the world continues to bring in new orders, while the burgeoning hydrogen sector – especially the increase in use of hydrogen buses – means our systems are in demand across Europe.”
