Minion Makeover for Aircraft Carrier Cylinder

A tiny taste of Hollywood arrived at Chesterfield Special Cylinders
A tiny taste of Hollywood arrived at Chesterfield Special Cylinders (CSC) this summer when we spotted one of our high pressure gas cylinders receiving a special Minion makeover aboard the new aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth.  The Despicable Me character was the artistic product of one contractor’s vivid imagination and here at CSC we have to admit that many of our cylinders are Minion-shaped.

We understand, from our friends at the Aircraft Carrier Alliance, that the paintwork follows a long navy tradition of personalising ships and their equipment.

The makeover was applied while HMS Queen Elizabeth was undergoing sea trials after leaving Rosyth dockyard where it was built.

CSC is a long-term provider of bespoke high pressure gas systems to the Royal Navy and its key contractors.
