Chesterfield Special Cylinders appoints new Engineering Manager

Leading global designer and manufacturer of high pressure gas containment systems, Chesterfield Special Cylinders (CSC), has appointed Andrew McCampbell as engineering manager in its Sheffield, UK headquarters

Leading global designer and manufacturer of high pressure gas containment systems, Chesterfield Special Cylinders (CSC), has appointed Andrew McCampbell as engineering manager in its Sheffield, UK headquarters. He joins CSC from PTG Holroyd Milnrow and will be responsible for overseeing new and ongoing projects across the engineering department.

 

Andrew, 44, is a senior manager with many years’ manufacturing and customer-facing experience. Since 2009 he worked for the Precision Technologies Group in Lancashire, starting as operations manager and becoming manufacturing director.

 

He says: “CSC is known as the world leader within its key sectors. For over a century it has been the best designer and manufacturer of safety-critical products for offshore, naval, aerospace and storage customers.

 

“Part of my role will be to develop programmes to ensure our systems and machinery continue to improve our capabilities, so that CSC remains at the cutting edge.

 

“I am joining CSC at a time when it is pushing into new markets, such as space travel and renewable energy, and plan to contribute to the company’s growth.”

CSC managing director, Mick Pinder, says: “Andrew is a senior engineering expert and his arrival at CSC signals a stepping-up of our engineering capabilities and continues to drive our reputation for design, engineering and delivery.”
