Ultra High Pressure (UHP) cylinders have been manufactured by CSC for over 25 years. Today this is a product type which is experiencing increasing demand for high pressure containment over what is currently commercially available in the market.

Charging pressures up to 550 bar are contained, using thick walled seamless tube with integrally forged necks at both ends, manufactured from a material grade specially selected by CSC.
A 450 bar variant is also available for when it is necessary to combat the effects of hydrogen embrittlement using compatible material strengths.

These compact cylinders are made to very exacting metallurgical and heat treatment specifications for a diverse range of niche uses in general engineering and high pressure systems as well as for the offshore oil and gas industry.

The attention to material properties through careful material selection also allows us to offer UHP cylinders for specialist applications over 550 bar.
